Mindbridge Facilitator + Content Specialist
Position Summary
The Mindbridge Institute Facilitator + Content Specialist plays a key role in developing, refining, and delivering transformative training programs grounded in psychology, neuroscience, and human rights. This part-time role involves both content development and facilitation, ensuring that all educational materials are scientifically rigorous, engaging, and accessible to a wide range of learners.
In addition to leading online and in-person training sessions, the Facilitator + Content Specialist serves as a subject matter expert, working closely with the Program Manager and Strategic Learning Manager to integrate the latest research into Mindbridge’s programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in clinical or social psychology and neuroscience, strong research and content development skills, and a passion for translating complex scientific concepts into practical, real-world learning experiences.
This role requires a strong ability to engage diverse audiences, adapt facilitation strategies, and communicate high-level concepts with clarity. The Facilitator + Content Specialist will also contribute to the continuous improvement of training resources, research-informed content creation, and innovative approaches to program delivery.
Responsibilities
Content Expertise & Program Development
Develop, refine, and expand training materials to align with the latest psychology, neuroscience, and human rights research.
Conduct literature reviews and applied research to ensure current, evidence-based, and impactful training content.
Translate complex psychological and neurobiological concepts into accessible, engaging learning experiences.
Collaborate with the Strategic Learning Manager to enhance digital and physical resources that support facilitation and participant engagement.
Identify innovative opportunities in content design, training structure, and participant learning experiences.
Facilitation & Instructional Delivery
Lead engaging and interactive training sessions, both online and in person, on topics such as implicit bias, social conflict, and the psychology of belonging.
Adapt facilitation style to meet diverse participant needs, ensuring an inclusive and impactful learning environment.
Use storytelling, real-world examples, and active learning techniques to enhance participant understanding and retention.
Navigate complex conversations with professionalism and sensitivity, ensuring constructive and meaningful dialogue.
Training Preparation & Resource Management
Organize and manage training materials across digital platforms (Google Drive, Dropbox, Canva) and for in-person delivery.
Proactively update and improve training resources, ensuring they align with best practices and emerging research.
Coordinate logistics for in-person training sessions, including setup, materials, and participant resources.
Technology & Innovation in Learning
Leverage digital facilitation tools (Zoom, Mural, Mentimeter) to enhance participant engagement.
Stay informed on new technologies and instructional methods to improve learning outcomes continuously.
Utilize Google Suite, Canva, and project management tools like Asana for content creation and coordination.
Participant & Client Engagement
Engage workshop participants to ensure successful training outcomes and a deeper understanding of key concepts.
Assist in customizing educational content for specific organizations or communities.
Build strong relationships with clients and participants, fostering trust and ongoing collaboration.
Desired Skills + Experiences
Content Expertise & Research Experience
Master’s degree or higher in social or clinical psychology or neuroscience.
Strong knowledge of psychological and neuroscience principles relevant to learning, behavior, and social dynamics.
Experience conducting research and integrating findings into training programs, curricula, or practical applications.
Facilitation & Training Skills
Proven ability to lead engaging and effective training sessions across multiple formats (virtual and in-person).
Strong public speaking and facilitation skills, with an ability to break down complex topics into accessible, engaging learning experiences.
Experience navigating sensitive discussions on topics such as bias, human rights, and social justice.
Instructional & Content Development
Ability to design and refine educational content based on scientific research and real-world applications.
Strong writing and instructional design skills, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and engagement.
Experience using Google Suite, Canva, and digital facilitation tools for content creation.
Professional & Interpersonal Skills
Ability to navigate complex conversations with professionalism, empathy, and cultural awareness.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
Adaptability and problem-solving skills to meet evolving program needs and training challenges.
Additional Considerations
Availability for in-person facilitation within a 2-hour radius of Portland, ME, with occasional international travel required.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.

Mindbridge has an office in Portland, Maine, but this position can be hybrid or fully remote and can be further discussed upon interview.
Compensation and Benefits
On-call, part-time @ 10-15 hours per week
$35/hour for development and training preparation work.
$50/hour for facilitation.
Annual time off allotments:
